Project Summary
The DFES Youth in Emergency Services (YES) Cadet Program Governance Administrative Manual provides guidance for adult volunteers to establish and manage an effective YES Cadet Program in Western Australia.
It outlines strategies to create a child-safe environment, implement sound governance, manage risks, and attract and retain both youth participants and adult volunteers.
The Governance Administrative Manual aims to foster community resilience, build connections between emergency services, facilitate the transition of young people into an adult volunteering role, and ensure consistency in how YES Cadet Programs are run across the state.
EvolveCDT tasks: Conceptualised, planned, wrote, graphically designed and consulted with volunteers in the YES cadet program.
